東京偵察（２） Scouting in Tokyo(2)

先週　東京偵察に行ってきた。　今回は 大塚って～ところに　初めて　行ったのじゃ。 いつものように　peng御用達の　東急東横線に乗って　渋谷駅まで行き、　そこから　山手線に乗って　１８分で　大塚駅に着いた。 これが　大塚駅前じゃが、　平日なのに　結構　人がいて　大きなビルや商店街があるにぎやかなところだったので　ちょい　びっくりした。　やっぱ　東京じゃの～（－。－） 大きな較差点を　わたって　目的地の店がある商店街の通りに入った。　お店はバーのようなところと聞いていたので、腹ごしらえをしてから　店に行こうと　レストランを　探したのじゃ。　ここでも　pengは　びっくりじゃった。　どの店も　横浜のPeng邸近くの店より　チョーお高かったのじゃ。　「どっへ～　やっぱ　東京じゃの～（＠。＠）」と　田舎者モードのPengであった。 無事目的地の店について　一安心！　Pengは　ここに　酒を飲みに来たわけでは　ないぞ。　 二胡と三味線の演奏を聴きにきたのじゃ。　Pengは最初「二胡」という楽器が　どんなものか　わからんかった。　みんなも「胡弓（こきゅう）」という　中国伝来の弦楽器の　名前は　聞いたことがあるんじゃないかの～。　どうも　その楽器の　弦が２本のものを「二胡」というらしい。　まあ　写真をみれば　よくわかるじゃろで、　うだうだ言わんことにするぞ。 Pengは　二胡は　東洋の楽器じゃで　日本の弦楽器の三味線とあわせるのは　イメージできていたのじゃが、　ギターとの演奏もあるようで　最初　おやおや～って　思ったのじゃ。 しか～し、ギターとあわせた曲も、三味線とあわせた曲も　すばらしかったぞ～（＾０＾）　雨の夕暮れの帰り道であったが、弦楽器の魅了を堪能できたPengは　わくわく気分のまま　横浜に帰り着くことができたのじゃ。 わざわざ　東京まで行ったかいがあったと　大満足のPengであった～（＾０＾）

Last week, Peng went scouting again in Tokyo. This time Peng went to Ootsuka for the first time. As always, Peng took the Tokyu-Toyoko line to get Shibuya, then from Shibuya Peng used Yamanote line. It’s took 18minites to get from there to Ootsuka station. This picture is Ootsuka station. Peng surprised that even it was a weekday there were a lot of people, and there are big buildings and shopping mall. As could be expected, since it’s Tokyo!（－。－） I crossed a big intersection, and then arrived at a mall in where my destination shop was. My friend had told me that the shop is like a bar, and Peng thought maybe there wouldn’t be so many kinds of dinner food in the shop. So, Peng looked for a restaurant before going to the bar. Peng surprised again! Almost every restaurant on this street was much expensive than the restaurants in Peng’s town. Provincial Peng thought, “Well, sure; it’s Tokyo, isn’t it?”（＠。＠） Peng finally safely arrived at the bar – what a relief! Peng had not come there to drink. Peng came to see erhu and shamisen performance. At first, Peng didn’t know what an erhu is. Maybe you have heard of kokyu, which is Chinese traditional stringed music instrument played with a bow. Presumably, erhu (niko in Japanese) is a kind of kokyu which has two strings. Anyway, seeing it in the photo it is more easy to understand it than to read Peng’s explanation. At first Peng felt a little bit strange about the idea of hearing an erhu and guitar playing together, however, it was easy to imagine erhu and shamisen together, since both are oriental instrument. But the duet music of the erhu and guitar, and erhu and shamisen were great! Even though on the way home it was raining, Peng arrived home with a satisfied feeling. （＾０＾）

篳篥 Ｈｉｃｈｉｒｉｋｉ

でた・でた　音がでた～～（＾０＾） 長かった～　苦節４ヶ月　ついに　篳篥で　音が出せるようになったのでございます～。 Pengの今年の抱負は「篳篥がふけるようになる」ってことでございます～。　先生に習うことなく　ひとり　地道に練習しておりました～。 もしかしたら　篳篥（ひちりき）って　あんまり知られてない楽器かもしれないので、　いちお　映像を・・・これです！ 大きさが　わかるように　テレビのコントローラーを　一緒に　写しました～。 この篳篥は　雅楽（ががく）という　日本古来の音楽や舞の演奏に使われるものでごじゃります～。ほんとは　同じように使われる楽器の　笙（しょう）を練習してみたかったんだけど、　練習用が売ってなくって　本物は　チョーお高いので　pengの小遣いでは　買えんかったのです～　でもって　とりあえず　篳篥をやってみようと　練習用をゲットして　はじめました～。 しか～し、　伝統芸能というものは　なまやさしいものでは　ごじゃりませんでした。　やっと　音が出るよういなるのに　４ヶ月、　それでも　９音のうち３音ぐらいしか　まともな音が　出ないのでごじゃります～（；；） 皆様の　今年の抱負の進行ぐあいは　いかがなもので　ごじゃりましょうか？ え！　そんな抱負など　ないと！　いかんな～（・へ・）　とりあえず　年初めには　なんか語っておかんとね。　まあ　できるかどうかは　べつとして（キャハハ） てなわけで　前向きpeng　練習を続けていこうと　思っておりま～す（＾０＾）

Come, come! Sound, come out! ～～（＾０＾） After 4 months of hardship, finally I could make a sound with my hichiriki. This year, Peng’s New Year's resolution was “Learn to make a sound on the hichiriki”. Without having a teacher, Peng has been steadily practicing the hichiriki alone. Maybe it's not such a well known instrument, so I'll put up a picture. To help you understand the size, I put a TV controller next to my hichiriki in the picture. The hichiriki is a Japanese musical instrument used in Gagaku, which is a kind of Japanese old traditional music & dance. Actually, I wanted to try learning to play the sho, which is also used in Gagaku. But I didn't have a sho to practice with. They only sell "real" sho, not practice instruments, and they are soooo expensive that I can’t buy one with my pocket money. So, I got a practice hichiriki instead, and began to try. Bu~~t, traditional arts are not so easy! After 4 months, I can finally make a true sound, but I can only get 3 tones out of 9 tones（；；） How are your New Year's resolutions coming? What? You didn’t make any resolutions!? It’s sooo bad!～（・へ・）It’s best to have at least one at the beginning of every year.. Well ~ whether you made one or not (kyahhh) So, even though it’s hard work, positive Peng is thinking "I'll keep practicing!" （＾０＾）
