祭りの思い出 Memory of Festivals

記事が　おそなって　すまんかったのぉ～m(_ _)m Pengは　ちっと　調子が悪かったもんで　書けんかったんじゃ～（＞。＜） されど～　いくつかの祭りの思い出があるで　紹介するじゃ。 春には　「田祭り」を　みにいったじゃ。 そこでは　特に　女の山伏殿らの　太鼓の演奏が　すごかった！！ 演奏風景は　撮影禁止やったもんで　後ろ姿のみを　紹介じゃ。 夏には　「星祭」を　みにいったじゃ。 ここで　びっくりしたんは　タスマニアから　太鼓プレーヤーが　きてて 日本人の人らと　一緒に演奏したことじゃ。 もちろん　どちらの祭りでも　pengが　はいっとる　雅楽会が　管弦と舞の披露をしてお～る。 秋には　お月見じゃ。 月は　ええのぉ～（－。－） これが　pengが見た　満月じゃぞ～（＾０＾） ５月ごろから　調子が悪て　なかなか　記事を書く気に　ならんかった～（＞。＜） ほやけど　いくつかの祭りを　楽しめたんは　よかったじゃ～（＾０＾） まだ　本調子やないもんで　なかなか　記事をだせんかも～じゃが　お暇なおりには　 pengブログを　のぞいてみて　くだしゃりませ～m(_ _)m

Sorry for late articles m(_ _)m Since Peng have been feeling down these days, she couldn’t write, However, Peng could enjoy some matsuri (festivals). In Spring, there was a farming festival. Peng thought the greatest players were the women Yamabushi (mountain monks). Taking pictures while they were performing wasn’t allowed, so Peng could only take a picture from behind. In Summer, there was a star festival. Some drummers from Tasmania came to play together with Japanese taiko players. Of course, Peng’s Gagaku group played at both these matsuri. In Fall, there was a moon festival. Peng could see the full moon. Even Peng wasn’t so healthy, she was happy to see the matsuri. (^0^)

生地紹介 Birthplace

春休みに入り　国へ帰っておったじゃ～～（＾０＾） ちゅ～ことで～　pengの生県を　ちっと　紹介するじゃ～。 まずは　お城！　pengは　この城の大門前にて　生を受けましたじゃ～。 ちゅ～ても　お披露目するほどの　りっぱな本丸は　のこっておりませんじゃ（；；） 堀と石垣は　ごじゃりますが　敷地のほとんどを　市役所ビルに　のっとられてしまいましたじゃ。 面影は　この十代藩主が作った藩校の門「入徳門」と　コンクリートに固められた火の見やぐらで　ごじゃります。　 まあ　市役所になってしもたとゆぅ～ても　一部は　日本庭園っちゅ～ことで　お庭になっとりまして　初代藩主　藤堂高虎殿のお姿を見ることができますじゃ。 このオヤジ　けっこうな優れもので　浅井―＞豊臣―＞徳川と　うまいこと乗り換えて　子孫には　とにかく家をのこせ！との家訓で　藩を守り　明治にも華族として　生き残らせましたじゃ。　築城の名手とも　いわれておりますじゃ。 ん？　おっと～　そこの関東人の方　そんな人　全然　知らんは～っと　思とられませんかな？ それは　大きなミステイクでごじゃりますぞ～。　関東でおなじみの地名「上野」は　このオヤジが　命名いたしましたじゃ。　江戸のはじまりには　ここに　藤堂藩の江戸屋敷が　ごじゃりまして　国元の伊賀上野と　景色が似とる～っちゅ～ことで　「上野」と名付けたそうで　ごじゃります。 さて～　peng生県の最も有名な　歴史的建物といえば　やっぱ　伊勢神宮じゃと　思いますが　遷宮のため　まだ　白いおおいが　かかっとりまして　映像はごじゃりません。　遷宮後に　伊勢地区訪問の旅を考えていらっしゃる方々のため　３点ほど　チェック・グッツを　紹介いたしますじゃ。 まずは　神宮内で　無料のお茶をいただき　遷宮ＤＶＤを無料でみられる休憩所で　休んでいただければと　思いますじゃ。 帰りには　おかげ横丁で　みやげ物を買っていただければ　うれしいのでごじゃりますが　足元の　この「伊勢マンホール」も　チェックしていただければと　思いますじゃ。 そ～し～て～　ちっと　見つけるのが　困難かもしれませんが　この「伊勢えびフライ定食を　お食べいただければ　幸いでごじゃります～（_ _） ち～っとばかり　お国自慢モードのpengであ～る（＾０＾）

Since it’s Spring break, Peng went to her hometown. So Peng wants to introduce her home prefecture to you. The first picture is the castle. Peng was born at the site of the main gate of this castle. But now there is no great main enclosure of the castle to show. The moat and rock wall are still there, but the most of the castle area has become the city office building. However, you can still see the old days when you look at this-- “Nyutokumon” which was built as the gate of the Toudou clan school by the 10th Lord. The “Hinomiyagura (fire watchtower)” has been covered by concrete. Even though the castle area is now the city office building space, there is still a Japanese garden, and you can find a bronze statue of the first Lord Takatora Toudou. This man was a great lord who survived the civil war time when the government switched from Toyotomi to Tokugawa. He made precepts to keep the Toudou clan. At the end of the Edo era his descendants survived as the nobility. He is also known as a great builder of castles. What? You don’t know about him? Hmmm・・・It’s a big mistake! Everyone knows the name “Ueno” in Tokyo, don’t they? Well, this was the guy who named the place “Ueno” at the beginning of Edo area. At that time the Toudou clan had their Edo house in this place, and Lord Takatora thought that the view there was just like “Iga-Ueno”, where his feudal estate was located (in Mie prefecture). So, he named his place in Edo “Ueno”. In Peng’s home prefecture, there is a very famous historic building “Ise Jingu (Ise Shrine)” where the boss of the Japanese Gods lives. Sorry there are no pictures of the Shrine. This year there is still construction work going on for the “Sengu”. Since AD690, in the Emperor Jito’s time, we reconstruct the shrine regularly about every 60 years. Anyway , now Peng will introduce 3 points of interest for anyone who wants to visit the Ise area after the “Sengu” is completed. First, there is a rest station inside the Ise Shrine. You can get free tea in a cup with the Shrine crest, and you can also see a DVD movie about how the Sengu is done. After visiting the Ise Shrine you can get souvenirs on Okage street. Oh! Don’t forget to look underfoot. You will see a special Ise manhole. In Japan, many cities have uniquely designed manhole covers. Finally, even though it may be very difficoult to find a restaurant, you should really eat “deep-fried Ise shrimp”. It’s so great! Peng loves her home prefecture. Happy!（＾０＾）

忠臣蔵（４７士） Chushingura(47 Samurai)

久々に～　散策にいってきたぞ～（＾０＾） で～　今回のテーマは「忠臣蔵（47士）」じゃ。 これは　元禄15年12月14日（1703年１月30日）の深夜に　旧主浅野さんの仇の高家吉良さんの屋敷に　元浅野さんの家臣が　討ち入りした～っちゅ～　ほんまの事件をもとに　歌舞伎や映画になった時の話でごじゃります～。 pengが　アメリカにおったときに　クリスマスになると　いろんなバージョンの「クリスマス・キャロル」っちゅ～話を　ＴＶや劇場で見られたのでごじゃりますが。　それと同じように　この「忠臣蔵」も　年末になると　いろいろなバージョンが見られ　「忠義」っちゅ～もんを　考えさせるものでごじゃります。 まずは　そもそもの発端　江戸城の松の廊下に　行ったのでごじゃります。　現在では　皇居の公園内・松の廊下跡というとこじゃが・・・　 石の目印が　ごじゃりますが　今までの皇居見学では　全然　気ぃ～つかんかったし ほんに　見つけるのに　難儀する小ささで　ごじゃりました～。 ここで　浅野さんが　吉良さんに　切りつけたわけで　ごじゃります。 この城内での事件後　浅野さんは　江戸城の不浄門から出され　他家にて　切腹をさせられましたじゃ。　pengも　浅野さんの気持ちを知るために　同じ門から　江戸城（現在の皇居域）をぬけましたじゃ。　人生の頂点から奈落へと　転げ落ちるような坂道では　ごじゃりましたが　きれいな梅林がありましたじゃ。 さて　そっから　仇討ち後に　やはり切腹した４７士のお墓がある泉岳寺に行きましたじゃ。　電車乗り換え時　構内の通路が　階段の上り下りせなならんよぉ～に　なっとりまして　ちっと苦労しながらも　泉岳寺駅に着きましたじゃ。 なんと！　駅の改札を抜けて　目の前に　４７士の方々のお名前が！　されど　そこは　女子トイレでごじゃりました～　うむむ～～（－。－） 無事　泉岳寺に到着し　大きな大石殿に　お会いしましたじゃ。　この方が討ち入りのリーダーでごじゃります。　 墓所での撮影は　はばかられるかと　線香を買い　お参りのみで　ごじゃりました。　そして　寺社敷地内ある博物館を　見学してまいりましたじゃ。 博物館内では　これまた　撮影禁止で　ごじゃりましたが　一番気になったのは　吉良殿の首の送り状で　ごじゃります。　泉岳寺のお坊さんが　吉良家へ　届けたときの書類で　ごじゃります。　ただ　「一、首・・・」と　書かれておりましたじゃ（－。－） まあ　なにはともあれ　この日は　１１６７２歩を歩き　有意義な見学をしたpengであ～る（＾０＾）

Peng went out for a stroll for the first time in a long time. The theme was “Chushingura (47 Samurai)”. There was a real incident that happened during the Genroku era at midnight on 15/12/14 (1703/01/30）. On that day, the Lord Asano’s ex-vassals went into the house of the Lord Kira and killed him to avenge the death of Lord Asano. There are many versions of this story in Kabuki, movies, and TV shows. When Peng was in the US, she could see many different versions of “A Christmas Carol” at Xmas time. In the same way, in Japan, people can see many different versions of “Chushingura (47 Samurai)” to think about the meaning of “Chugi (Loyalty)”. The beginning of this story happened in the Pine-hallway at Edo-castle. This is now found in a part of the Imperial Palace’s garden. Today there is a little stone marker which tells that it’s where the Matsuu-no-rouka (the Pine-hallway) was. Since the stone is very tiny, it’s very hard to find the place. It’s where the Load Asano tried to kill the Lord Kira with a sword because of hard feelings over Kira’s insults. As a result, the Lord Asano was ordered to leave Edo-castle through the Fujyou mon (unclean gate) and to commit Seppuku (hara-kiri). Peng went to that gate just as Asano did, to understand how he felt that day. After the gate you go downhill, just like the fall in life from the peak to the abyss. However, there are some beautiful plum trees there. After they completed their revenge, the 47 samurai all committed Seppuku (hara-kiri) and their graves are in the Sengakuji. To go Sengakuji Peng had to change trains 3 times and had to walk through a long pedestrian tunnel in the train station. Peng finally arrived at Sengskuji station and saw・・・ Wow! Just past the station gate in front of the gate there was a board with the 47 samurai’s names on it. But, it was the wall of a women’s rest room! Hmmm～～（－。－） Anyway, Peng arrived at Sengakuji and saw the big stone statue of Mr. Ooishi, who was the leader of the avenging group. At the cemetary and the museum Peng could not take pictures but bought inccnse and showed respect for the dead spirits. After the 47 samurai killed Lord Kira, they brought his head to Sengakuji to show it at the grave of Lord Asano. Then they left it with the monks. In the museum of the Sengakuji there was a very interesting paper. It’s a receipt from when the Sengakuji monks returned the Load Kira’s head to the Kira family house. It just says “One Head.”・・・ Anyway at that day Peng walk 11672 steps and had meanigful tour. クリスマス Ｘｍａｓ

Ｙｏｋｏｈａｍａの楽しい　クリスマスじゃ～～（＾０＾）

ナマ刷り Real Print

プロの刷り師が　浮世絵を刷るんを　ナマで見てきたじゃ～（＾０＾） ちっと　遠出をして　東海道広重美術館に行ってきましたじゃ。 まず　新横浜から　新幹線に乗って　三島まで行きましたじゃ。　やっぱ　旅には　駅弁じゃろ～ってことで　新横浜駅で買ったお弁当を　パクパク～　ええ天気でごじゃりましたで　富士山を見ながらの　駅弁は　ことのほか美味しゅぅ～ごじゃりました。 三島からローカルの東海道線で　由井まで　行きましたじゃ。　広重殿の絵を見ながら　電車の窓から　お子ちゃま座りで　景色を眺め　お！ここじゃ・ここじゃ～と　絵と同じような風景に　満足いたしましたじゃ。 由井に着いて　まず　pengを迎えてくれたのは　この駅前から見える通りのアーチでごじゃりました。 桜えびが　名物のようで　帰りに　一袋　ゲットいたしましたじゃ。 昔の本陣内にある「東海道広重美術館」に到着して　ふと見ると　自分でも刷る事ができるようで　ごじゃりました。 おみやげ物カウンターで　３００円なりを払い　３枚の紙を　いただきましたじゃ。　版木は　プラスチック製で　だれでも刷れる　簡単モードでごじゃります。 ちゅ～わけで　これが　pengが刷った　広重でごじゃります～。　簡単～と　思ったので　ごじゃりますが　なかなか上手にできませなんだ（＞。＜）　刷ってる間に　手がインクまみれに　なってしまい　せっかくの出来上がりを　汚してしまったり　いたじましたじゃ（；；） さて～　本気モード！　本物の　プロの刷り師殿が　登場し　１時間半かけて　みごとな浮世絵を　仕上げられましたじゃ。　 pengは　刷り師殿の目の前　かぶりつきで　しっかり見せていただきましたじゃ。　た～んまりの質問もでき　大喜びのpengで　ごじゃりました。 １時間半の刷り実演を　見るためだけに　遠くまで　行ってしまいましたじゃが　ほんに大満足の一日を過ごした　pengであ～る（＾０＾）

Peng went to see Ukiyoe (Japanese woodblock print) being printed by a professional Ukiyoe printer.（＾０＾） The printing exhibition was at the “Toukaidou Hiroshige Art Museum”. It was a little bit long outing. First Peng took the Shinkansen from Shin-Yokohama station to Mishima station. So, Peng bought a Ekiben, which is a box lunch sold at the train stations, and which most Japanese like to buy when they take a long trip. It was a nice day, and Mt. Fuji was clearly visible, so Peng could enjoy the ekiben while seeing it. Yum(^^) Then, from Mishima station, Peng used a local JR train to get to Yui station. On the train Peng was comparing the famous Hiroshige prints to the real landscape through the train window. WOW! Peng was very happy to learn that the landscape still looks like Hiroshige’s drawings. When Peng arrived in Yui, the arch welcomed her. Sakuraebi (pink-shrimp) is one of the special products in this area. So Peng bought a pack of Sakuraebi after seeing the prints. The Toukaidou Hiroshige Art Museum is in the Honjin, which is a special hotel only for the Daimyou travelers in the Edo era. In the Museum Peng found a printing set which museum patrons can use to try printing Ukiyoe. So Peng went to the souvenir counter and got 3 papers for 300yen. The Hangi (print blocks) are made of plastic, so anybody can make prints easily. There are the Hiroshige prints Peng made. At first, Peng thought was easy, but it wasn’t so easy after all （＞。＜） While doing the printing Peng’s hands got dirty, and it made the finished prints messy.　ｃｒｙ（；；）　 Finally the professional printer came, and it took him 1 hour and 30 minutes to make a nice Ukiyoe. Peng could watch him printing very closely, and could ask many questions about how to make great prints. So Peng was really, really happy. Maybe some people might say it’s crazy to spend 6 hours commuting & buy expensive Shikansen tickets just to watch a 1H 30M printing exhibition, but it was a really great day. Peng is HAPPY（＾０＾）

October 1st 十六夜の月

pengが見た　横浜のお月様じゃ～（＾０＾）

江戸東京たてもの公園 Edo-Tokyo Open-air Architectural Museum

ちっと遠出して　江戸東京たてもの園に　行ったじゃ（＾０＾） まずは　新宿にでて　ＪＲ中央線の武蔵小金井駅で降り　バスにて　小金井公園に到着～。　けっこう広い公園で　びっくりしましたじゃ～（＠。＠） ここで　鳥撮りを　するつもりじゃったが　突然　雨が降ってきて　寒ぅ～て　寒ぃ～て　鳥を　待ちきれんかったので　ごじゃります～。 そして　４００円なりの入園料を払い　公園内の「江戸東京たてもの園」に　はいりましたじゃ。　まあ　ここも　野外展示でごじゃりますで　雨にぬれてしまうんやけど・・・　いろいろな建物が　ありまして　その中に逃げ込む（？）ことが　できましたじゃ。 ナマの鳥しゃんの代わりに　そこで撮影した鳥関連の映像（キツツキ・ハト・レゴホン卵）でごじゃります。 昼になって　お腹もすいてきて　はいったんが　蔵の中にある　うどん屋さんでごじゃります。 この映像の向って一番左が　そのうどん屋さんで　汁は　そんなに関東風では　ごじゃりませんで　関西系pengも　満足して　いただきましたじゃ（＾＾） その右隣の　茶色い建物は「文具屋の三省堂」でごじゃります。　次が　ちとモダン（？）な花屋さん　そして　ほんまレトロな金物屋さんで　ごじゃります。 このほかにも　たくさんいろいろな建物があって　１日　十分　遊べますじゃ。　建物説明をしておられたシニアボランティア（？）の方々によりますと　来年が　この　たてもの園の２０周年記念で　大きい催しが　あるそうで　ごじゃります。　まだまだ　いろいろな建物を　再建予定とかで　pengは　来年も　いってみよかと思とりますじゃ。 雨にぬれ　またまた　鼻ずび～～の風邪気味に　なってもぉ～たけど　遠出を楽しんだpengであ～る（＾０＾）

Peng went to a town a little bit far away to see the Edo-Tokyo Open-air Architectural Museum （＾０＾） First, Peng went to Shinjuku station on the Tokyu Toyoko –line & Yamanote-line. And then after using the JR Chuo-line to get to Musashikoganei station, from the station there is a bus to get to Koganei park. The park was pretty big, so Peng was surprised. （＠。＠） Peng was thinking about taking some photos of birds here. But suddenly there was a rain, and it was very cold. So Peng couldn’t stay in the park to wait for the birds. And then Peng got into the Edo-Tokyo Open-air Architectural Museum in the park by buying a ticket for 400yen. Even once she got into the Museum, since this is open air, it was still wet from the rain though….. Anyway , in the museum area there are many different houses, so Peng could escape from the cold rain. Instead of taking pictures of real birds, Peng took some photos of related birds. (woodpecker, pigeon, egg) At noon, Peng got hungry and went to an Udon noodle restaurant which is inside this old-style storehouse. In this photo, from the left is the Udon restaurant storehouse. This Udon restaurant is good. The soup wasn’t Kanto taste, so even Peng from Kansai could eat happily. (^^) To the right of the Udon restaurant is the Sanseidou stationary shop, which is still doing business as a bookstore everywhere in Japan. Next to this is a florist shop, end then a hardware store. These days it’s hard to find these kind of old-style shops. There are many more interesting old houses, so you can enjoy it one day. According to the guides, next year is the 20th anniversary of this museum and there will be a big event. And they were still building other houses. So, Peng wants to visit here again someday. Even though Peng got wet and caught a cold, it was a fun little trip. Peng was very happy. （＾０＾）
